Family Room Upgrade
Built in Shelves and Cabinets
Project Description: This family wanted extra storage and a place to display their favorite decorative items, but with a custom look and feel. NSWWTX took on this challenge and was able to design and build these unique twin built in units that featured Cherry Shelves and Countertops, Undershelf Lighting, and Glass Panel Cabinet Doors with soft close hinges. The cabinets also have adjustable shelving.
Construction Start
At this point the TV was relocated above the fireplace, brackets for the floating shelves were attached to the wall, and wiring for the recessed lights and outlets was run.
Material Pickup
It all starts with good quality lumber from a trusted local supplier.
About Halfway Done?
At this point the floating shelves on the left were fully installed with recessed lighing included. The right side shelves were partially installed.
Accent Paint color on the back walls was added to provide a contrast to the existing white walls.
Install Near Complete!
At this stage the custom cabinets were installed and all the wiring for the TV was rerouted to connect to the devices located in the right cabinet. The cabinet doors were out at the glass maker for glass panels.
Install Complete
Shelves and Cabinet tops were finished with True Black Stain and Satin Polyurethane to match the existing Mantle and Beams.
